Santa Paws brought our little Miss Shortcake a new collar for Christmas. We let her have it early because we wanted to show you how pretty the collar looks on our little doxie diva. We found the collar at BarkTalk.com - check them out because they've got all kinds of adorable items.

We've got several new things planned for the Web site for 2007. A partially-new design, much more content and more photos. You can help. If you have any photos of you and/or your companion animals enjoying a dog park, beach, restaurant or other pet- friendly venue in Florida, we'd love to share them with all the readers of FloridaPets.net. Check our Tips and Tails section below on how to send photos to us.

What's a Pet Apartment?

It could be a retreat for cats and small dogs, a fancy little cover for a litter box, a creative toy stash, or just a quiet space for the little ones to take a nap or grab a snack. Your choice and customized your way.

Special Note to Our Readers

"A warm sweater and good food. A kind hand to pat our back. A bunchy chair to rest our heads. Soft words and romps in the sun. Oh, that's a lot! One may be human, one may not. But both need love, the kind that can't be bought. " - Amber, 6-year-old reader of FloridaPets.net.

We couldn't have said it better, Amber. May all of you and your beloved companion animals have everything you want and need in 2007. We'll see you again soon.

Sincerely,

Patricia
