1.Canova Beach Park is a 9.1-acre community beach park which includes a small pavilion, grill, picnic shelter, benches along crossover, restrooms, drinking fountain and outside showers. One of the 3 dune crossovers is wheelchair accessible. Canova Beach Park is home to Brevard County's only dog-friendly beach. All dogs must be on a leash and must wear tags showing their current license and vaccinations. There is no cost to use the Dog Beach, however, people must pick up after their pets. Waste bags and proper receptacles are available.
Located at 7275 S US Highway 1 in Titusville. This is a beautiful, natural area of 26-acres where there are great views of the Kennedy Space Center shuttle launches from the Indian River Lagoon. Camping patrons are permitted dogs if they are on short leashes, but dogs are prohibited around "picnic-only" areas. Directions: From I-95, take SR-50 Exit-215, go east for 3 miles. Turn right on US Hwy 1 and go 3.5 miles south. The campground entrance is on the east side the road.
Located at 101 N Washington Avenue, Titusville. This park has nearly 30 acres and is on the Indian River. Open 7:00 a.m. until dark. Offers picnic tables, shelters, benches, and restrooms. Dogs must be on short leashes. Directions: From I-95 take SR-406 Exit-220 and go east 2.8 miles on Garden Street, turn left on US Hwy 1, the park entrance is on the right. From US Hwy 1 at SR-50 go north on US Hwy 1 4.1 miles just past Garden Street. Entrance is on the right.
"This is a great place from where to watch space shuttle launches where you're allowed to bring your dog on a leash only. The park is nice with picnic tables, fishing, barbeques. I view all launches from here - it's almost straight across from the NASA VAB Building."
